AI Mode is Google's answer to conversational search: a chat-like mode that answers complex questions with generated responses and follow-up questions. For brands the same logic applies as with AI Overviews – if you want to appear as a source or a recommendation, you need citable content and strong entity signals. The rollout happens market by market, but optimizing for it starts now.
