What the llms.txt does

The llms.txt is a text file in the root of your website (analogous to robots.txt) that gives AI systems a curated overview: what does this website offer, which content is important, which facts apply? The standard from llmstxt.org is young but growing fast – and one of the simplest GEO measures there is: one file that bundles your most important content and facts in machine-readable form.

How to build a good llms.txt

Structure in Markdown: a short description of the site, then annotated links to the core pages, plus citable fact sentences (prices, scope of services, differentiators) with clear numbers. Do AI systems even read the llms.txt?+
