In depth

Why AI systems hallucinate

Language models produce text by probability, not by truth. When solid knowledge is missing, the model fills the gap with something plausible-sounding – with invented prices, features or even company names. For brands that's doubly risky: the AI can claim false things about you or portray you in comparisons with invented weaknesses.

What brands can do about it

The best insurance is unambiguous facts that are consistent everywhere: current prices and features on your own site, in llms.txt and in structured data, consistent information in directories and press. The clearer the facts on the web, the less often the model invents something. Only monitoring gives you control: with daily measurements and Sentiment analysis, GeoStars shows what AI systems actually say about your brand.

Frequently asked questions
You can't intervene directly. But you can improve the source situation – RAG systems pick up current facts from your website when they're findable and unambiguous.
Only by systematically querying relevant prompts across all platforms – barely doable manually, but reliable with daily monitoring and alerts.
